How this site works, in plain language.
A referral service
LehighAcresLotClearing.com puts property owners in Lehigh Acres and nearby parts of Lee County, Florida in touch with independent contractors. It doesn't clear, mulch, mow, grade, grind or burn anything, and the contractors it refers aren't its employees.
Not affiliated with any government or district
The site is named for Lehigh Acres, Florida, an unincorporated community in Lee County. It has no connection to Lee County, the Lehigh Acres Municipal Services Improvement District, the Lehigh Acres Fire Control & Rescue District, any state or federal agency, or any company with a similar name. Permits come only from those agencies.
How the site is paid
Contractors pay to receive referrals or to advertise on this site. Property owners never pay for the referral.
One contractor per request
Each request goes to a single contractor who serves your area, not to a list of companies.
Contractors are responsible for their work
The contractor you hire is responsible for their own licensing, insurance, permits, pricing, workmanship and warranties, and any agreement is between you and that contractor. This site makes no claim about any contractor's licensing or insurance. Florida's construction licensing law doesn't require state registration for work that doesn't substantially correspond to one of its contractor categories; where part of a job does, you can check the license with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (850-487-1395), and Lee County Contractor Licensing (239-533-8119) can tell you who is registered to pull permits. Ask any contractor for a certificate of liability insurance before work starts.
Calls may be recorded
Calls to this site's phone number may be recorded for quality and to confirm referrals.
Sources
No equipment maker sponsors or endorses this site. Rules, fees and cost figures come from the county, district, state and federal pages linked beside them and from the national cost guides named, as of the date shown on each page. They're general information, not legal advice. The agency that issues the permit, and the contractor's written quote, are what count.
